The domain

Quickly considered a "Premier Cru du Haut-Pomerol", Château L'Évangile, initially established by the Léglise family, was brought to its best level under the management of Domaines Barons de Rothschild Lafite in 1990. After significant restructuring, the property rose to become one of the finest references in the Pomerol appellation.

The vineyard

Between Château Pétrus and Château Cheval Blanc, Château L'Évangile is a Pomerol wine from a 22-hectare vineyard. It is planted on sandy-clay soils with pure gravel and a subsoil of iron dross.
