Château Monbousquet - 2019

The domain

Château Monbousquet is a Grand Cru Classé located southwest of the village of Saint-Emilion. In early 1995, Michel Rolland and Gérard Perse came up with the idea of testing the white grape variety in Saint-Emilion, almost as a challenge. The challenge was successful: it is now possible to produce a great dry white wine in the terroirs of Saint-Emilion.

The vineyard

Situated on 32 hectares, the vineyard is composed of vines whose average age is 42 years on sandy and sandy clay soils with iron slag, as well as sandy-gravelly and sandy-clay soils.
