Château Pape Clément Blanc - 2021

The domain

Ranked among the elite of Bordeaux Grands Crus, Château Pape Clément is one of the oldest wine estates in the region, its first harvest having taken place in 1252. The estate takes its name from Pope Clement V, who managed it before donating it to the Archbishop of Bordeaux. In 1983, Bernard Magrez bought the property, rewarding it with a score of 100/100 from American critic Robert Parker for the 2009 vintage.

The vineyard

Located on 18 hectares within the Pessac-Léognan appellation, the vineyard is composed of vines averaging 23 years old on Pyrenean clayey gravel soils. It is managed on a micro-plot basis and has High Environmental Value level 3, ISO 14001 and Bee-Friendly certifications.
