The domain

Château Rieussec is located south of the Bordeaux region in the prestigious Sauternes appellation. Formerly owned by the Carmelite monks of Langon, this Sauternes Premier Grand Cru now belongs to the Rothschild family.

The vineyard

Carmes de Rieussec is the estate's second wine. The vineyard is one of the largest in the Sauternes appellation, spanning 93 hectares of clay-sand gravel.
